It’s fall, y’all! 🙂
Fall in my world starts the day after Labor Day, even though the first official day of autumn isn’t until September 22, 2016. It honestly could not come soon enough for me this year.
I’ve been dreaming, longing and fantasizing about fall since early June. Fall is my favorite season, but we’ve also had the hottest summer on record here in Tennessee. The intense heat and humidity, coupled with the fact that I’ve been suffering through a rough first trimester, combined to make me so. over. summer.
I’ve done a fairly good job of myself holding back from lighting the apple pie scented candles, but I could not resist filling my Pinterest with images of colorful leaves, frothy lattes, cozy sweaters, bountiful pumpkin farms and red delicious apples. I’ve even created a couple of autumn-inspired mood boards to exercise my love for the season.
Don’t you love a change of season? I would be so sad in a world without seasons. It seems like after 3 months of the same weather and scenery I’m always ready for a change of seasons. Although fall and spring can always hang out a little longer in my world than summer and winter.
To celebrate the unofficial start to fall, let’s raise a pumpkin-flavored beverage, snuggle under a blanket, turn on a football game, open the windows, pull on the boots and get inspired with one more autumn mood board.
Joie de vivre and happy autumn!
