“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” – Luke 2:14
This Christmas, we feel especially blessed with the addition of Audrey Joy Astleford, born on January 23, 2017. From that day on our lives have been made sweeter and more joyful than ever before. Having a baby also seems to have sped up time. Before we knew it, summer was over, Audrey was crawling and it was time to write another Christmas letter.
Dan and I have been in our new house in Chattanooga for just over one year. We love our house and have already made some good memories here. Our neighborhood has a lot of young families, so Audrey will have many playmates as she grows up.
Dan has been busy with his job as COO of Parkridge Medical Center. I’m staying at home with Audrey, which is a different kind of busy. We treasure our evenings and weekends together as a family of three, and look forward to Audrey getting a little older and more mobile to take her exploring.
We’re also thrilled for our siblings who will be welcoming new little ones in 2018.
Audrey’s Bedtime Prayer
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
May angels watch me through the night,
And wake me with the morning light.
God bless Mommy and Daddy,
Grandmas and Grandpas,
Aunts, and uncles and cousins,
Willie kitty and Audrey Joy.
At this festive time of year, we stop to count our many, many blessings. First and foremost, we’re thankful for the grace and peace of our Savior, love for each other, and kindness of our family and friends. We never want to take for granted our health, our loved ones, the roof over our heads or the food on our plates. We keep those that we’ve lost close in our hearts, and we look forward to the opportunities the future will bring.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Dan, Heather and Audrey Joy Astleford
