In the span of 5 months in 2013, my then boyfriend (now husband) got a new job, moved to a new apartment, we went on vacation, we got engaged, I joined the Junior League, started a new job and moved to a new city with a stranger for a roommate. I honestly didn’t think I could take another ounce of stress. I felt like I’d tried on a pair of jeans from 8th grade and there wasn’t a spare millimeter of room to take on anything else. It was so stressful!
I’m taking a detour from my normal style today to talk about an issue that I know we all struggle with: stress. I recently read an article in Time Magazine called “The Science of Bouncing Back” about how resilience helps us not only deal with tough times but to excel during and after them.
